F-Secure is impressive
Windows User
I've been quietly confident in the integrity of F secure for quite some time having inherited it when my Internet service provider (Virgin Media) stopped providing their own bespoke package many years ago. It's a very clean and easy interface almost to the extent that I started to worry that it might not be sophisticated enough to deal with today's threats but they do demonstrate that a lot of jargon and bad design on other systems does not mean they are any good. The reality is that Fsecure has been protecting me successfully across five different devices in one simple package for more than 10 years. So far I am not aware of any major security issue threatening my money or personal identity or important documents And I'm guessing, at the e...Show More

Non-US Based a Plus
Windows User
I chose F-Secure many years ago because of the US Patriot Act. That law allows the US to issue a "National Security Letter" ordering security companies to take or not take certain actions. For example, they could order an anti-virus company to fail to detect a virus/spyware/etc app that was created by. perhaps, NSA. NSLs come with a gag order, so any such mandate would be secret.

ALL ok

It's better soft than eset or bitdefender. I tested on 5 devices and it works better than previously mentioned

Easy to use, Very Unobtrusive, but no built-in Firewall
Windows User
Been using F-Secure SAFE for a year. Excellent protection. Easy to use. Simple interface (compared to competitors). No annoying popups (if F-Secure alerts you to something--rarely--it's something important). I give it 4.25 stars out of 5 (would be 4.9 stars if it had a dedicated firewall). I'll never go back to Norton (3.5 stars) or Bitdefender (3 stars). I only recommend F-Secure or ESET now... or, for the right user, Bullguard or Sophos are pretty good.
BONUS: F-Secure is a Finland company, not a Russian (Kaspersky) or Slovakian one (BitDefender). Also, you can buy F-Secure with PayPal (or credit card); many competitors demand a credit card only. No auto-renewal is required (you can easily disable or enable).
The only downsides are:...Show More

Decent antivirus solution
Windows User
Please note that this review only covers their password manager, for some reason. The Freedome VPN is among the best vpns I've tried, including Norton's. The F-secure SAFE, which is their flagship antivirus product, is also completely fine. The review would be nice to have updated.
