They are not serious at all
Windows User
I cannot recommend them because they are not serious. 1 month ago I got in touch with their support and asked if they offer an invoice in which to enter the company's data in order to be able to register the payment in the company's accounting. I was told yes and to request this through a ticket. Of course, they postponed issuing this invoice for more than 30 days and as a result they lost a customer.
I don't even want to think about how to solve certain problems that may arise in the provision of services.
In conclusion, from the moment you pay them, they are no longer interested in you.

ExpressVPN throttles torrent download speeds on Raspberry Pis
Windows User
ExpressVPN currently throttles torrent downloads on Raspberry Pis, down to 150kb/s, even for legit torrents. Other VPNs such as NordVPN have been tested on the exact same Pi environment using the same torrent client and they do not exhibit the throttling problem, but ExpressVPN support do not want to acknowledge the problem exists and will blindly blame the torrent client as the fault.

I could not use the VPN in my country of interest even though they claimed that it will work. Tried to cancel the subscription and I was told that it will be cancelled at the end of the year subscription I paid. Now they renewed the subscription for one more year without notice and charged my credit card.

No contact email or phone to escalate the dispute.

Beware of incorrect information. Express VPN does not allow port forwarding.
Linux User
I was very interested in port forwarding because without this function it is impossible to run p2p programs like eMule or Torrent.
After reading your review I contacted Express VPN and they confirmed that their app does not support port forwarding.
You can also use this feature only if you install their software on your router.
This changes the situation a lot because first of all it becomes a more difficult operation to install the software on your router, many may be discouraged and not want to face this further difficulty.
Often the router serves other people in the family who would like maximum reactivity without having to enter the router menu to connect or disconnect the VPN, assuming it can be done easily.
Then there is the prob...Show More

Hi Dave, you're correct! As we state in this review, ExpressVPN only allows port forwarding via its router app. If you're looking for easier access to port forwarding, we recommend ...Show More
