McAfee total protection has an extremely handy user interface. The firewall is adjustable, and the web advisor works properly. But newer versions of Mozilla Firefox are not supported. Appropriate enough antivirus for the average consumer.

Difficult to use

Found this antivirus very difficult to install on multiple items devices (cell phones, multiple computers) as it did not use the Key Code for all devices but issued a new code for each device. I don’t know how to keep track of each one. Once installed, it seems to work well but I doubt I will want to go through the installation process every year, so I have to lower its score.

Sure the anti virus software works well enough. But the scareware started as soon as the software was installed. First thing it started telling me I was low on memory, I have 64GB and was using less than 16. That continued for a while. I bought two years in one go. Part way through the first year it started the incessant complaints that I hadn't signed up for automatic renewal. It frequently pops up adverts that are supposed to scare you into buying more of their 'tools'. Every few days there's another pop-up telling you what to get from them. If you aren't using their Yahoo search engine then it uses dark patterns to try to con you into switching. Then you have to dig it out of your business again. McAfee VPN Has Major Issues

McAfee virus protection seems to work alright but their VPN has major issues. It does not work most of the time. McAfee admits there is a known issues with their VPN that they are working to resolve the issue. They did not provide any expected resolution date. If I were to do it over again, I would probably purchase another product.
