Quite frustrated with McAfee.

I have a McAfee on my laptop. I have their 2-year-plan for 10- devices. My laptop is hacked recently. The hacker successfully penetrated McAfee's internet security. and disabled the real-time protection, antivirus, and VPN. The hacker is remotely controlling my laptop every time I connect to the internet. McAfee's security protection is not as good enough to stop sophisticated hackers as these. I have almost a year left, but I am stopping my subscription and will ask for a refund.

It's an ok program, my complaint is with the staff. I shut off my auto renewal button the day it was to be renewed, unfortunately they had already taken the money out of my account for a 2 YEAR SUBSCRIPTION. I have been trying to talk to someone regarding this process but NO ONE will answer any emails!! Plus they keep telling me the 30 day free trial is over!!! This is the last time I will be ripped off by McAfee as I will never use them again as an antivirus protection program. I have also paid for another protection as I have no idea IF I am really protected or not .....it's crazy and frustrating. I'm very pleased with the antivirus. I used Kaspersky and Bitdefender antivirus before. I was very pleased with Bitdefender, too, but I found the Mcafee in action and bought the overpayment cheaply for a long period. I think full scanning slows down the computer's operation, and that's a negative rating. Over time, I've gotten used to his work like that and I don't mind slowing down the system while a full scan is done. Antivirus has a lot of useful functions. It is very reviewed and easy to use. Also, I don't like the lack of webcam protection. I think it's a serious omission, so I appeal that this function be activated into antivirus in the future. My final grade is 9. Bought and installed McAfee for 5 devices on my Mac. Then it all started. Every time my iOS updated, McAfee went out of date. Now I continuously have warning messages that my Firewall is not ON, and that there is no Real-Time Scanning. Their software does not allow me to turn them on through my computer. I have made several phone calls to customer service(who knows how many hours that involved) and each time their techs could not solve the issue. Each time they referred me to the 'next level' tech, who is NEVER available. At that point they take your name and promise to call you back, but they NEVER do. McAfee VPN Has Major Issues

McAfee virus protection seems to work alright but their VPN has major issues. It does not work most of the time. McAfee admits there is a known issues with their VPN that they are working to resolve the issue. They did not provide any expected resolution date. If I were to do it over again, I would probably purchase another product.

It is easy to sign up and pay them but if the McAfee doesn't agree with your computer system it is a nightmare getting their refund, even after only 12 days trying McAfee. Instead of electronic back to purchase card, they make you wait 3-4 weeks and will "mail you a check". Terrible customer service.

Unhappy with this program

I've had Mcafee for years. All of a sudden the ability to right click on a file and shred it has disappeared. If I put the file in the recycle bin and shred from the program (indicating to shred the recycle bin), it just spins around for hours and does nothing! I won't be renewing this again. Terrible service, annoying harassment to renew, trying to force autopay -- no thank you!
