The program always ...
Windows User
The program always, but unobtrusively, keeps an eye on my computer and my data. When my attention is needed, I get a gentle nudge and information what I need to do. I like it, trust it, and will recommend it to others, including my family.

Quite good
Windows User
It really is a very good antivirus program. It has, according to various tests, good detection and works very discreetly in the background. I can only recommend.
Protects you from zero-day
Windows User
Eset currently has the best detection of all antivirus programs I've tested on zero-day malware. It does not slow down the PC! The user interface is clearly arranged and kept simple. If safety is important, you should definitely try it out.

the "extra's" are why I choose ESET
Linux User
I find ESET works very well; for me and my customers, both home and business.

The reason I have moved away from the likes of Norton, AVG, etc is the incessant attempts at trying to upsell - "You're insecure- you don't a VPN". "You have clutter - buy our cleaner" etc, etc.... very frustrating.

In the UK, we need a VPN if out and about on an untrusted wireless network; cafe's hotels etc. At home, we may want a VPN for access to global content unavailable in this country. To state that a machine is insecure because we don't have this feature is scaremongering!

ESET does what it is supposed to do, and does it well. If you need to declutter, look at CCleaner, SuperAntiSpyware etc (free for home users), or a VPN; there are hundreds out t...Show More

ESET Customer Service - Linux AV NOD32
Windows User
I had a trial version of Eset AV for Linux. I purchased the product but was never sent the password, just the username. Repeated "chat" attempts could not resolve the issue and every time I requested the password, Eset would send the trial username & password and then send just the username, no password, for the purchased license. What kind of mental defects work there?

Avoid! Acts like malware
Windows User
I installed the trial version and now cannot get rid of it.
Does not allow uninstall or deactivation, keeps popping up. Re-activates itself among startup apps. Does not allow deletion.
This is horrible, let me just move on!

Can't Uninstall
Windows User
I downloaded the free version and ran a scan that took about 3 hours. It found only a couple of MSN.COM tracking cookies which it removed. But now, I can't uninstall it. It does not appear in the Windows Programs list to run an uninstaller. What kind of product is uninstallable?

Awful
Windows User
False positives, removes legitimate software and when manually selected to restore fails. Complete waste of time.
