MacKeeper Review 2025: Is It Good Enough for Your Mac?

I am 67 yrs. old and the guys were so patient with me. They explained to me how to use this program and now my Mac is running great. Sometimes the technicians changed over and then I felt as if I had to repeat everything. It would be better if they could note everything to be forwarded and read by oncoming technicians. Otherwise, I liked everything.

My experience with MacKeeper has been tremendous. When I called and asked about a recent MacKeeper update, they explained the changes and assisted me in the installation. They could have very easily ended the call but they said they would guide me through the update process. However, I'm a little bit disappointed that there is no Data Encryptor feature in MacKeeper 4, I liked this feature so much in MacKeeper 3. I hope they will include this functionality in future releases.

Cool app has a lot of features. I don't use all of them, but I really love the VPN tool. I was a bit tired of their additional offers for other apps and services, but the app is nice. I now enjoy using my Mac, knowing that there are no viruses and malware on my computer.

I had attempted to Fix and Find and it kept stopping at 6%. I also followed support's recommendations by running Fast Cleanup and it also stopped after reaching a certain point. I left the Fix and Find and Fast Clean all night with the same result. This morning, I contacted online support to inform them of the results of following the recommendations and Simon asked if he could troubleshoot from my computer, I allowed Simon control and he found the issue right away. In a few minutes MacKeeper came alive and all scans were completed. I am very pleased with this App and the awesome service.

I found and removed malware with MacKeeper. That's sounds promising as I'm afraid of loosing my files. Mac started working a bit faster so looks like everything is ok for now.

Cool app, especially VPN feature. I checked it with the speed test and the result is good. I wish they have mobile app too.

Surprised with such a big amount of haters here. I purchased 1 year plan, here is my first impressions:
Cons
- what is most annoying - you can't hide chat bar, and customer support "very strive to help you" inside the app from the first launch.
- pricy subscriprion
- u can't disable mackeeper app from login items
- stopad extension not available for Firefox
I don't have any issues with annoying popups. In the latest macOS you can allow or disallow notifications for any installed app, so I disabled notifications in macOS for Mackeeper.

Despite the fact that there were different reviews about this program, everything worked out for me with it in the best way. I installed it on my computer without any problems and have been using it for several months now. I believe that not all functions are necessary, but the most important ones, such as antivirus, VPN and cleaning tool work flawlessly!

I couldn't enable MacKeeper Antivirus on my own, but MacKeeper support instantly guided me on how to do that. It is so convenient that there is always someone real there to help. What is more, they explained to me what to do with the infected files detected. There is also an option to enable real-time protection to be constantly protected. Thank you for such great software and tech support!

It works very fast on my computer. In fact, the scanner takes just 30 minutes. It scans all my files and folders. I like the VPN tool and the ability to turn it on every time I start up my Mac. I can't say anything bad about this program.
